About Heather

Heather first fell in love with jewelry as a young teen in Arizona. "Regular" jewelry never held much interest for her, but when she saw and held the beautiful silver and turquoise creations of the Native Americans of the Southwest such as the Navajo, Hopi, and Zuni, she was hooked! She learned how to make liquid silver jewelry from a local artist, and made and sold liquid silver jewelry with Native American fetishes and components for several years. When her family left the Southwest, Heather stopped, though, only rediscovering the joy of this work when she taught her daughter how to bead. In recent years, Heather has received training in silversmithing and lapidary work, and now loves to experiment with silver and stone.

And of course, working with these materials is part of the energy work Heather does! Heather has been picking up and putting rocks that "feel good" into her pockets since she was a small child, and has always noticed a pleasant tingling in her hands when she does so; this "tingling" is the same healing energy she feels when she is performing energy healing. Heather has been doing energy healing since she was 10 or so, and has been trained in Reiki since 2003. She now is a Reiki master, and trains others in Reiki and working with stones and crystals. Heather's hands also tingle when she makes a piece of jewelry, perhaps due to the meditative nature of the work. Since recipients of her pieces always commented on how good her pieces feel, Heather decided to formalize the process, in order to ensure that every piece is a healing tool.
